ROBERT BURNS BIRTHPLACE MUSEUM, BURNS COTTAGE & CULZEAN CASTLE (8 HOURS)
First stop is the village of Alloway, the birthplace of Scotland’s National Bard, Robert Burns. Here we have the opportunity to visit Burns Cottage and the unique Robert Burns Birthplace Museum. http://www.burnsmuseum.org.uk/ We steep ourselves in his history and heritage and visit Alloway Auld Kirk, Brig o` Doon and Burns Monument Garden.
We then skirt the Ayrshire coast and cross over the world famous optical illusion known as the Electric Brae https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRzwNycQTok on our way to Culzean Castle, seat of the Clan Kennedy. This tour allows us to enjoy panoramic views across the Irish Sea and the granite bird sanctuary of Ailsa Craig from where curling stones are hewn.
WHERE AND WHEN:
Meet up location: I will meet you at any place in and around Greenock, Glasgow or North Ayrshire. The official meeting point for Greenock cruise passengers is the “Foot Passenger Exit”, where I will meet and greet you.
End location: At the end of the tour I will return you to a location of your choice within the Greenock, Glasgow or North Ayrshire area.
