Flavour of Loch Lomond Guided Tour

(Half Day Tour)
  • Loch Lomond

On leaving Glasgow we cross the Erskine bridge and the River Clyde and make our way along the Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond to the pretty village of Luss. Here we can visit the Thistle bagpipe works or take a sail around the islands on the Loch. Our next port of call is Tarbet for some spectacular photographs of the loch and Ben Lomond, then on to Arrochar where fine Scottish pottery and crafts are produced at Mansfield Studios.

Returning to Glasgow there is the opportunity to visit “Antartex Village” which offers an excellent selection of woolens and cashmeres at value prices. Continuing on our journey we pass through the town of Balloch and some of the most picturesque villages in Scotland.

The above tour may be extended to a full day to include a visit to one of the following attractions:
  • The Hill House: A stunning example of Charles Rennie Mackintosh`s architecture, recently visited by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in 2011.
  • Glengoyne Distillery: Enjoy a guided tour and a wee dram of fine single malt Scotch whisky from Scotland`s most beautiful Distillery.
  • Dumbarton Castle: Once the capital of the Ancient Kingdom of Strathclyde, this historic castle was the departure point of “Mary Queen of Scots” on her journey to France to marry the Dauphin in 1548.
  • Loch Lomond Shores: Featuring the “Sea Life Aquarium” with its stunning glass tunnel and programmed events and festivals throughout the year.
